This is a handy tool to drill that 3rd bolt needed when using a starter for a 168 tooth flexplate/ flywheel. Or drilling 400 SBC or repairing the outer hole.

Can be used to redrill a 3 bolt holes in a Chevy 4, 6 or V8

If doing the rental, (return value is 20)

Simply bolt on your block to the existing starter holes and use a 5/16 drill bit in the hardened pilot to precisely place the 3rd hole. Use a hand tap of 3/8-16 to finish the job. Can be done with oil pan still on engine.

Older engines do not have the 3rd "B" bolt hole. Usually prior to 1972.
