This is a handy tool to drill that 3rd bolt needed when using a starter for a 168 tooth flexplate/ flywheel.
Simply bolt on your block to the existing starter holes and use a 5/16 drill bit in the hardened pilot to precisely place the 3rd hole. Use a hand tap of 3/8-16 to finish the job.
Older engines do not have the 3rd bolt hole. Usually prior to 1972.
